Registration opens for EI World Congress

published 30 September 2010 updated 30 September 2010

As the countdown begins to Education International’s Sixth World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, the registration process for the thousands of participants is now live.

The president and general secretary of each EI affiliate member should by now have received their organisation’s own log in and password code. These codes will enable each affiliate union to access a secure registration site to input the names and details of all delegates and observers who will be attending the Congress in July 2011 on behalf of each union.

Once this step is complete, each nominated delegate or observer will receive an automated email that consists of their unique log in and password code. Each participant must then register individually, using these codes, by inputting their personal information. Among other things, each participant will also be able to identify which pre-Congress events or breakout sessions they wish to attend, print their own agenda for the Congress period, and book their hotel room and find useful information about the city.

If you do not yet have a participant ID or code, please consult your union. Should you have any problem with the registration process, please send an email to: [email protected]
